Humblest apologies for the lack of updates in 2011. We are now back on track & will try to keep the site updated regularly. We do have a Facebook page for the dogs that I will try to keep updated and work out how to link with this area & our main website… Lots to play with . I will shortly be loading a whole host of pictures to our show wins page so please go visit & see just what we achieved in 2011 – it was a truly wonderful year with the dogs.
Lehigh Valley Kennel Club held an AKC Sanctioned Match show on Sunday 30th January. We took little Pearl and Yentna along. Little Pearl won the group with Yentna coming in second!! Woohoo….
On January 19th & 20th we went to the Garden State UKC club shows with Yentna & her brother Siku. Over the weekend they both finished their UKC Championship. Caesar was also there and won a reserve BIMBS. Little Pearl was competing in the Novice Puppy Class & won Best Novice Puppy In Show for every show. Skye was also there & won Best Veteran in Show at every show. What a fun weekend we had!
Pearl came to stay on 22nd December at 10 weeks of age. She is a Pebbles’ Run girl (Hammy & Lovey baby), with type oozing from every pore… Jari’s Christmas wish come true . She will be called Pebbles’ Run Perfect Pearl of Samaljankan & is already showing us what a great moving little dog she is!
Today Bijou won her last point to become an American Champion & give her Mom, Skye, her AMCA Register of Merit title. Wahoooo!!
Bijou is the 3rd dog from Skye’s last litter (of 6) to become an American Champion, and all were under 2 years old. Tycho, Caesar & Bijou all qualify for the AKC/Eukanuba National Invitationals in 2011 since they all finished out of the puppy or BBE classes, so look out Florida .
Skye (Am/Can Ch U-GrCh Nyrakym Skywalker Samaljankan) is a very, very special dog. She was our first officially recognized co-bred dog (i.e. has both our names on the papers as breeders) and has an amazing record. She is a 3-times Grand Sweeps winner, was the #1 NE area puppy bitch for 2004 and #7 class bitch nationally in 2005. Other significant wins include BOS at the 2005 Canadian National, Grand Maturity winner at the 2005 AMCA National, 1st AOM at the 2008 Canadian National and 5th AOM at the 2010 AMCA National and multiple group placements in Canada. She has produced 5 AKC champions, 4 CKC champions, 4 UKC grand champions, and group placing dogs in the US (AKC) & Canada. In addition, her offspring have won BIMBS, Reserve BIMBS and many group wins at UKC shows with Tycho winning #8 dog in the Top 10 Invitationals in 2010. We love this girl & are so proud of her, her achievements & those of her offspring.
In Mid-October Jari & I drove to Denver, CO for the 2010 AMCA National & Regional Specialties. The weather was wonderful & we had a great time – the driving went well. But just prior to the long drive we went to the NY/NJ Specialty in Sussex County, NJ. These were the first shows for our little girl, Yentna. She excelled winning Best in Sweeps in NJ and winning Best Jr Puppy in Sweeps at the regional in Denver. She also won her class in the Futurity and placed in every class she was entered in. In fact, we won a ribbon in every class we had entered including an Award of Merit at the National with Skye . We still need one point to finish Bijou but she’s still not even 2 years old. Please visit our Shows page for more details on our exploits and the dogs’ achievements.
