This last weekend we went to our first show of the year in South Jersey & made up another UKC Grand Champion and a UKC Champion. We now have a full complement of UKC Champions in our kennel . So Star became:
Also, huge congrats to our friends Mickie & Muncy who made up their girl Monet to be a UKC Champion at the same shows. Way to go, Monet, Mickie & Muncy – nice work!
On Saturday Nitro won a 5 point major by winning BOW at our last show of the year. He has just celebrated his 2nd birthday and is developing very nicely. Obviously the judge thought so too…..
Over Thanksgiving weekend we took a trip up to Canada to take part in the Ottawa KC show in Kemptville. Our last trip of the year in the motorhome. We met up with Bugsy’s breeder/co-owner & got some points on our dogs. Unfortunately we didn’t quite manage to get Bugsy finished – he needs only 1 (ONE) more point . Oh well, I guess that just means we have to go back up to Canada…..
We can’t complain, though – we won WD, WB, BOW, BOS & BOB every day. Bijou won 3 points over the weekend and Caesar won 2, while Bugsy got just 3 (not the 4 he needed).
The weekend before the AMCA National week we went down to Virginia to a couple of supported entry shows. We took the motorhome and made a weekend of it. The weather was not very cooperative but nevertheless, we had a very successful weekend with the dogs (although the motorhome did get beat up a bit by a neighbouring pop-up!!
So, for the shows – we got two 4-point majors on our little red girl, Bijou and a Grand Sweeps win on our sable boy, Caesar. thanks very much to Dennis Collins (Kahoutec). Our Bugsy also got his second major so only needed singles to finish in the US.
So we went on to the AMCA National week in Gettysburg. At the regional, under Wendy Willhauck, our Bugsy won Winners Dog for his last points & became an AKC Champion!!Woo-hoo!! What a blast! THANK YOU, Wendy, for thinking so highly of our Bugsy boy!
Meanwhile our puppies did themselves proud by placing in every single class they were entered in except Bijou who didn’t place in the futurity. Star did very well in the regional winning her veteran class and in the National she made it all the way to the very last moment where she just missed out on an Award of Merit. A bit of a disappointment at the end but she really did great!!
Tycho is on a roll!! At the UKC shows in New Jersey at the end of September, he won Reserve BIMBS under Marilyn O’Neil on Saturday and then went on to BIMBS under Tina Camp on Sunday. Photo to follow…
Meanwhile, Bugsy became a Grand Champion and Nitro also won a group 1st under Marilyn O’Neal. Skye finished her UKC championship as did our little Bijou – at just 6 months of age!!! Wow, what a weekend! So now we are proud to present:
Eddie went to his last weekend of shows in the US before traveling back to his native Finland. At the Alaskan Klee Kai Association of America shows in Carlisle he won his second BIMBS and two Group 1sts.
This last weekend, at the Alaskan Klee Kai Association of America shows in Carlisle, PA, Tycho won his second BIMBS under judge Jeanne Heger after Tina Camp gave him the breed and group win, also becoming a Grand Champion. Thanks so much for thinking so highly of our boy. He is now:
Bugsy also did well, winning breed and a Group 2 over the weekend. As did the puppies – first time out and Bijou won Best Puppy in Fun Match and also won Winners Female & BOW under Tina Camp!
