Today at the Trenton KC show Bugsy won WD for his first points in the US! He already had a few points in Canada but has been overshadowed by Tycho in the US. Now Tycho has finished, we can concentrate on this lovely seal boy.

Canada: Tycho gets pulled in groups but no points

At Tycho’s second ever weekend of shows in Canada he won the breed every day and was pulled out in the cut for the group on both Saturday and Sunday, but didn’t make the ribbons – close but no cigar. Still, not too shabby for a 13 month old puppy….

Oh well, that just means we have a good excuse to go back up & see our friends later this spring or summer ;-).

Our visiting Finnish Samoyed, Eddie, won his last two points up in Canada today going BOW.

Eddie - Canadian Champion

So he is now:

International Champion
Finnish, Estonian, Norwegian, Russian, Latvian, Canadian and American Champion
Finnish Junior Winner 2004
Estonian Winner 2005 and 2006
Baltic Winner 2006 and 2007
Nordic Winner 2007

Multiple BEST IN SHOW Winner

Ikiliikkujan Eddie of Voyage

Way to go, Eddie!!

Tycho is up there too, but with no competition in the breed, he didn’t get any points :-(. The best we can hope for is group placement for points…. Hmmm

Tycho does it again and is now an American Champion!!

Tycho did again today! Winning Winners Dog and Best of Winners for his 3rd major (all from the Bred-By classes) to finish his American Championship (subject to AKC confirmation). This boy ROCKS! He is only 13 months old and finished easily – what will we do now with our free time?? Well, we will work on his Canadian title and then let him mature for a while. Please welcome:

Once again, as soon as we get the photo, we’ll be posting it here for you all to see.

We’d like to thank Dian McComb for allowing us to use her dog, Hunter (Am Ch Alcan’s Master of the Hunt – daddy to Tycho and our current litter) and to all the judges who have thought so highly of our young boy, especially Lorraine Boutwell, Carolyn Alexander and Whitney Coombes who all gave him majors with Best of Winners.

We had another good day in Harrisburg, this time at the AMAEP Specialty. Tycho won his Bred-By Exhibitor class and went on to Winners Dog & then Best of Winners, for his second major this year. We also received the AMCA Newsletter and Tycho was the No 1 NY/NJ puppy for 2008 and No 6 puppy nationwide!! We are so proud of our young boy who is only 13 months old.

We will post his winning photo as soon as we get it.

Today we went to Harrisburg for the first day of the Blue & Gray Cluster with Specialties on Friday and Saturday. There were majors in both dogs & bitches with the biggest classes being the Bred By in both males and females. The day started well with Tycho winning the Bred By class in males and getting a good look for Winners Dog (which went to the Open dog). M, however, did even better – she won her Bred By class (biggest class of the day) & then went on to win Winners for 3 points. These were the last 3 she needed to finish her American Championship (subject to AKC confirmation) & so now she is:

Am/Can Ch BPIG Nyrakym Dark Star Samaljankan

Woohoo for M.
